Because his actions were said to be criminal by his superiors he was advised to leave York to escape jail or a fine. He returned after two years and continued in his many government positions and fought in the War of 1812 -1814. This relief sculpture is exactly the same as that on the monument on Church 7 Alexander Streets in Toronto. |
